Lack of quality education accessible to rural children of India is the key social issue which we at Varitra are trying to address. India nests at the fourth-highest number as a country with out-of-school children with making the country home to the largest number of child laborers in the world. These underprivileged children grow in an impoverished ambiance which affects their overall development and educational attainments too. The educational levels of the disadvantaged children paint a grim picture. A major issue is the lack of qualified and motivated teachers to drive change in the education process. There is a greater need for a conducive learning environment and adequate well-trained teachers towards improving the quality of education in the country.
We seek to improve and innovate the teaching-learning skills of teachers. Our resource center space acts as a reflective and co-create space for teachers and educators to deliberate, discuss and create meaningful resources. These resources can be used in schools for more efficient content delivery and an improved learning process.
